Freeland Park, located at the southern tip of Holmes Harbor on Whidbey Island, offers a diverse range of recreational amenities set against a backdrop of natural beauty. This 17-acre park features a boat ramp and dock (currently under repair), picnic areas with BBQ grills and covered shelters, a pavilion, restrooms (temporarily closed for repairs), playgrounds, and walking trails.

The park recently upgraded its playground in March 2023 to include accessible equipment such as swings, slides, spinners, puzzles, and bongos, making it a safe and challenging space for children of all abilities. Adjacent to the park, historic Freeland Hall, built in 1915 by volunteer labor, continues to serve as a charming venue for weddings and community events.

Freeland Park also plays host to community events, most notably the annual July 3rd fireworks display, one of the largest on Whidbey Island. Its rich history and ongoing community spirit make it a must-visit destination.
